Tourists can fly over Hyderabad during kite festival

Hyderabad, January 11: Want to have bird’s eye view of historical twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. This is the best time to do it.

Telangana tourism is offering helicopter joyride from January 12 to January 17, during the second international kite festival being held in the city.

Under the exciting initiative of the department of tourism, one can explore Hyderabad by hopping on to a helicopter. The 10-minute joyride will cover landmark tourist spots and other destinations in the twin cities.

“Explore the beauty of Hyderabad city from over 1500 feet with a 10-minute helicopter ride. This is the chance to gift your loved ones, the memories of a lifetime,” the department said.

Thumbay Aviation Private Limited is arranging the helicopter. The chopper will take off from Necklace Road and will hover over Buddha Statue, Tank Bund, Lumbini Park, NTR Garden, Birla Mandir, IMAX, Sanjeevaiah Park and Snow World before returning to Necklace Road.

According to the department, the joyride is being organized to promote kite festival in which 70 international and 40 national kite fliers will participate.
