Five superspeciality hospitals to come up in Hyderabad, Warangal

Hyderabad, January 26: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao today directed officials to set up a superspeciality hospital along with the Health University in Warangal City and four superspeciality hospitals in Hyderabad by end of this year.

He also instructed the officials concerned to shift Warangal Jail, Hyderabad Race Course and Chanchalguda Jail.

He said funds for the establishment of the hospitals should be allocated in 2017-18 budget.

The CM held a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on the establishment of the superspeciality hospitals and shifting of jails and Hyderabad race Course.

KCR wanted that the Warangal Central jail premises which is adjacent to the Kakatiya Medical College should be made into one campus and there superspecialty Hospital, Health University and maternity Block should be constructed.

The central jail should be shifted to the outskirts of the Warangal city. Warangal MGM Hospital will also be developed.

KCR asked officials to shift Chanchalguda Jail and Hyderabad Race Courses so that educational and other public institutions could come up there.
