Girl kidnapped in Tirupati rescued

Hyderabad, January 31:  Telangana police rescued a five-year-old girl kidnapped by a man from temple town of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

Navyasree was rescued when the kidnapper Balaswamy was taking her in a RTC bus from Jadcherla to Mahabubnagar.

It was happy reunion when police handed over the girl to her parents Mahatma and Varalakshmi on Tuesday.

According to police, some bus passengers grew suspicious with the behavior of Balaswamy and alerted the police, which swung into action to rescue the girl and arrest the kidnapper.

Navyasree was kidnapped from the pilgrim amenities complex-2 in Tirumala on Sunday when she along with her parents was sleeping. The family hails from  Anantapur district.

The police identified the kidnapper with the help of CCTV footage.
