Chiranjeevi calls on Dasari at hospital

Hyderabad, February 3: Megastar Chiranjeevi today called on well-known Telugu filmmaker and former central minister Dasari Narayana Rao who is undergoing treatment at a hospital here.

Accompanied by director V. V. Vinayak, he visited Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), where Dasari was admitted four days ago.

He met the doctors and family members of Dasari to enquire about his  health. 

Later talking to reporters, Chiranjeevi expressed his wishes for Dasari’s speedy recovery.

He said the filmmaker is not in a position to talk but communicating with his near and dear ones by writing on a paper.

Megastar said even in this condition, Dasari enquired with him about the collections of his movie ‘Khaidi No. 150’. “When I told him that the collections have crossed Rs.150 crore, he wished the collections to cross Rs.250 crore,” he said.

Chiranjeevi said Dasari was able to withstand the health problems with sheer self-confidence and strong will power. “Dasari will be back,” remarked the actor.

MP and veteran actor Murali Mohan, Mohan Babu and his wife, Jayaprada, Allu Arvind, Ambati Rambabu, former MP V. Hanumantha Rao were among prominent personalities who called on Dasari today.

The 74-year-old filmmaker was hospitalised on January 31 and remained on ventilator and dialysis support.

According to doctors, Dasari is suffering from multiple health problems including kidney and respiratory failure.
