TJAC to go ahead with rally by unemployed on Feb 22

Hyderabad, February 8: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) is going ahead its plans for a massive rally by the unemployed in the city on February 22.

JAC chairman M. Kodandaram today said unemployed in large numbers will participate in the protest to be held at Indra Park.

He said he was disappointed with the notification issued by Telangana State Public Service Commission to fill vacancies in Gurukul Ashram schools (residential schools).

The commission issued notification to fill 7,306 vacancies of teachers under Residential Educational Institutions Societies (REIS).

He said injustice had been done to unemployed by this notification as only a few will get the jobs.

He pointed out that there are over four lakh youth who have done BEd.

TJAC leader said the government should have issued a notification  for recruitment of large number of teachers.

He recalled that jobs was one of the three major slogans during Telangana movement. He alleged that the TRS government failed keep its promise of filling more than a lakh vacancies.

Meanwhile, Kodandaram’s appeal to the youth through social media to join the rally has already raked over one lakh views. According to JAC, 1.23 lakh people viewed the appeal on Facebook.

The organisation also claimed that since Prof. Kodandaram’s spoke live on Facebook, a total of 3,52,000 persons viewed the brief speech on various social media platforms.

He has called up on people to extensively use social media to spread the word about TJAC programmes.
