Two Tirumala devotees die of cardiac arrest

Tirupati, February 9: Two devotees including a constable died of cardiac arrest at Tirumala temple, police said.

Armed Reserve (AR) constable Subbarayappa died when he suffered the heart attack while he was climbing the stairs to reach the temple for ‘darshan’.

According to police, the 45-year-old constable from Tirupati collapsed while he was on his way to the temple by foot.

The pilgrim was taken to Ashwini Hospital in Tirupati, where doctors declared him brought dead.

An unidentified devotee was found dead near the temple. The man is aged around 32 years.

Police said he suspected to have died of cardiac arrest. His body was preserved at local hospital.
