Chandrababu’s ‘Annadanam’ for grandson’s birthday

Vijayawada, March 20: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has donated Rs.25 lakh for ‘Annaprasadam’ at Tirumala temple for his grandson Devansh’s second birthday.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief is bearing expenditure for one day’s ‘Annaprasadam’ on Tuesday. He donated the money to Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam’s Anna Prasada Trust.

Devansh is turning two on Tuesday as per the English calendar. He is the son of Naidu’s only son Nara Lokesh and Brahmani, daughter of actor Balakrishna, who also happens to be Naidu’s brother-in-law.

Lokesh is TDP general secretary and was recently elected to Andhra Pradesh legislative council while his wife manages Heritage Foods, the family owned company.

Last year, Lokesh while declaring the assets of family members had stated that Devansh’s total assets stand at Rs.11.57 crore.

It was revealed that while an asset worth Rs 9.17 crore was transferred to Devansh by his grandmother Bhuvaneswari, maternal grandfather and film actor Balakrishna gifted a fixed deposit of Rs 2.4 crore to him.
