Dasari discharged from hospital after two months

Hyderabad, March 28: Veteran filmmaker and former Central Minister Dr Dasari Narayana Rao was today discharged from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospitals, Secunderabad today.

He was admitted to the hospital on January 29.

Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, MD & CEO, KIMS Hospitals and team of doctors offered their best wishes for a healthy future of Dasari.

The well-known film director was suffering from multiple health issues and was put on ventilator support, after he complained of respiratory problem.

Doctors had then said that the 74-year-old director-cum-producer-cum-actor suffered a kidney failure and was on dialysis.

The filmmaker was operated upon for kidney failure, sepsis and respiratory failure.

Anxious members from the film fraternity had flocked to the hospital on learning about Dasari’s critical condition.

Mega star Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Mohan Babu and other leading actors had called on Dasari.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress party chief Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Congress and others had also called on him at the hospital.

The National Award-winning filmmaker holds a record of directing over 125 films and producing 50 other in different languages. Some of his hit films include Premabhishekam, Meghasandesham, Osey Ramulamma and Tata Manavadu among others.
