Jagan asked to quit Pulivendule seat, face Lokesh in by-election

Vijayawada, April 21: A TDP leader challenged YSR Congress Party chief Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy to resign his Pulivendula assembly seat and face Nara Lokesh in the by-election.

Telugu Desam Party’s Vijayawada unit chief and Member of Legislative Council Buddha Venkanna said if Jagan quits the seat and go for by-election, he will lose.

He said Lokesh would romp home with a huge margin as YSR family had lost the people’s support even in their home turf.

Lokesh, son of TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is the party general secretary. He was inducted into the cabinet earlier this month after his unanimous election to the legislative council.

Venkanna said YSR family members were losing the elections one after another. Jagan’s mother Vijayamma lost the elections in Visakhapatnam while his uncle Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy tasted defeat in Kadapa recently.

“Jagan will also be defeated, if he resigns and face Lokesh in by-election from Pulivendula,” said the TDP leader.

He said Jagan had leaders like Roja who were making baseless allegations against Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh.
