Vijayawada, April 22: With Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hinting at early polls, popular actor Pawan Kalyan on Saturday said his Jana Sena was ready for this.
Pawan tweeted that if the poll battle comes early, Jana Sena is ready for it.
His tweet was welcomed by his party supporters and fans. They exuded confidence that Jana Sea would face and win the poll battle whenever it comes.
Jana Sena has already initiated the process of recruiting ‘Jana sainiks’ in Anantapur district and plans to expand the activity to across the state.
Pawan’s tweet comes a day after Naidu causing a stir in political circles by predicting a snap poll in the state.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief asked his party leaders and cadres to be ready to face the elections at any time. He dropped hints of an early election while addressing the state coordination committee of TDP here on Friday. The meeting was attended by all the senior leaders of the party including cabinet ministers.
Naidu asked the party leaders to prepare the cadres for elections by strengthening the organisation at the grass-root level. “While retaining the existing vote bank of the party you should work hard to strengthen the hold over the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and all other sections of the society”, he told the leaders.
He also wanted the senior leaders to hold a meeting in every district every month to prepare the party for the elections. “Go to the people with the agenda of elections and start holding meetings in every district”, Naidu said.
While analysing the strengths and weakness of TDP, Naidu told the leaders that the party’s vote bank had increased by 16.13 per cent and the opposition YSRCP vote share had decreased by 13.45 per cent. Congress vote share remains confined to 1 per cent, he said.
But he did not mention anything about TDP’s ally, the Bharatiya Janata Party, which has been dropping hints from time to time that it may go alone in the next elections.
