KCR on Tuesday held a meeting with Director General of Police Anurag Sharma and Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy to review the security arrangements.
Police were making fool-proof arrangements for the event. Officials said entry will be allowed only to the valid pass card holders and after establishing their identity through fingerprint scanner.
Though students’ groups have assured the university authorities that they will not disrupt the celebrations, the security agencies are not taking any chances.
This will be KCR’s first visit to university after formation of Telangana state in 2014.
The students’ group are seeking an appointment with the Chief Minister to bring their problems and demands to his notice. They want him to fulfill the promise made during Telangana movement to provide one lakh jobs.
After attending the inaugural ceremony of the centenary celebrations, the President will have lunch at Rajbhavan.
Later he will also address the first convocation of the English and Foreign Languages University at Gachibowli before returning to Delhi at 6.20 PM.
