YSR Congress president and Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy joined the AP bandh in Nellore. Jaganmohan Reddy who is currently in Nellore district as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra took a break today to join the bandh.
Jaganmohan Reddy held a placard seeking justice to the State from the Centre during a protest rally organised at Dandigam village of Nellore district. He was supported by his party activists, leaders and farmers from the area.
The YSR Congress MPs have been holding protest for the past three days in Parliament and have boycotted the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday in both the Houses, while the TDP MPs remained silent in the House. The rank and file of the YSR Congress are taking part in the bandh.
The Left parties are organising the bandh supported by the Congress and the YSR Congress. The leaders of all the Opposition parties are taking out rallies across the 13 districts of the State to make the bandh a success.
While the ruling TDP is not part of the bandh, the party had directed its rank and file to hold placards in the mandal headquarters in the State in support of their MPs who are protesting in Parliament. However, the BJP, is silent to the bandh and its AP leaders are not seen in the public programmes anywhere.
