Ram Charan’s movie ‘Rangasthalam’ is set to hit the screens in another three days. Today on one hand Ram Charan is celebrating his birthday in his own style while on the other ‘Rangasthalam’ promotion is being carried out in equally grand scale. There are high expectations from ‘Rangasthalam’ with Sukumar-Ram Charan combination. Ram Charan is gearing up for summer holiday debut at the box-office with a big budget movie. From the beginning, a big hype was created about this movie. Be it Ram Charan, his looks, Samantha, rural beauty, every aspect of the movie has made the fans crazy and the film even before its release has done record business.
Ram Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’ with all its rights has already done Rs.112 crore business and this is the highest business for any movie in Ram Charan’s career. Rangasthalam is his first movie which has grossed over Rs.100 crore. Theatrical rights of Rangasthalam have fetched about Rs.80 crore. In every area Rangasthalam has done the highest ever business in Ram Charan’s career and this is no ordinary achievement. The movie has clocked Rs.18 crore in Nizam area, the theatrical rights in Ceded were worth Rs.12 crore and in the remaining areas in Andhra altogether contributed Rs.32 crore. If theatrical rights in local areas have generated such a huge income, the overseas rights were sold for nearly Rs.9 crore.
Similarly Hindi dubbing rights earned Rs.10.5 crore and Telugu broadcast rights Rs.20 crore. Another Rs.7.6 crore came through rights in Karnataka. If other income is included, Rangasthalam has earned Rs.112 crore. In the latest development Censor Board issued U/A certificate to the film. Considering the statistics of the Censor report and the business done by Rangasthalam, one can’t hazard a guess on what will be the total business of this movie.
