On the formation day of Telugu Desam Party, dissidence flared up in the party, causing a headache the party leadership. Chandrababu Naidu is currently neck-deep into problems. On one side the Centre and on the other Jagan and Pawan Kalyan are attacking him, the state is not getting the due funds and with reports that the Centre is planning to do something, Chandrababu is in real panic. At this hour when the party leaders should be united their fighting is surprising the party chief.
Chandrababu is said to be unhappy over the dissidence in constituencies of the MLAs who crossed over TDP from other parties and also in other constituencies. He is learnt to have pulled up key leaders and asked them what signals the infighting on the formation day will send and how will they deal with workers. Chandrababu is also learnt to have taken class of party’s AP chief Kala Venkat Rao and Lokesh. According to sources, he conveyed to the warring leaders through Kala Venkat Rao that clashing on the party’s formation day was not good and that if they think he will surrender to the blackmailing it is their mistake and they should keep this in mind.
Chandrababu also made it clear to these leaders that if there is any problem they should come to Amaravati for discussions but if they create infighting in the districts this will not be tolerated. He reportedly vent his ire at A V Subba Reddy’s attitude in Allagadda and Nandyal constituencies. He reportedly pulled up district incharge minister Kalva Srinivasulu and told him that he had already convinced Akhilapriya and if there are problems the leaders should come to him to sort them out. He asked them what will happen to party’s image if they start fighting in public. Similarly, Naidu said to have reprimanded former MP Saifullah for organizing a meeting in Anantapur against MLA Prabhakar Chowdary.
With state’s situation not being well and he is under attack from three sides, Chandrababu Naidu is trying to come out of this. He is busy evolving a strategy for this. In this context, infighting in party has become a headache for Chandrababu. He wondered what for the party’s district unit presidents and incharge ministers are there. He reportedly made it clear that he can’t review every small issue. However, according to the party sources, seeing Chandrababu’s anger the warring leaders tried to pacify him by saying that they have settled the issue. Some people are saying that with internal fights coming to fore in almost all constituencies, nobody except Chandrababu Naidu can settle this. What will happen? We have to wait and see.
