TDP MPs say no to Babu’s bus yatra plan

Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu had a shock from his own MPs who refused to embark on bus yatra in all the 13 districts after their protest in Parliament was closed. Though initially Chandrababu Naidu wanted his party MPs to stay in the national capital and continue to hold protests as long as the YSR Congress MPs continue their fast, the TDP chief withdrew his call and asked the MPs to come back. He had directed the MPs to go on a bus yatra touring all the 13 districts and holding meetings. But, shockingly, his proposal was rejected by the MPs.

The most-vociferous MP, J C Diwakar Reddy, had categorically told Chandrababu Naidu that they are not ready to go on bus yatra addressing the people. “We have been away from our families for all these days. Let us spend time with the families before we move on to another action plan,” Diwakar Reddy had told the Chief Minister. He had also advised the Chief Minister to direct the rank and file of the party to hold street corner meetings in the villages and explain to them about the injustice done to the State, instead of addressing massive public meetings, which would have no use.

Though the Chief Minister did not agree for this proposal, he had to remain silent dropping the bus yatra plan as the MPs were reluctant to it.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu is planning for two major meetings in Guntur and Tirupati to hit back at the BJP hard. The Tirupati meeting would be important one as it is planned for April 30, to commemorate the election meeting of Narendra Modi here in 2014. It was on April 30 in 2014, Narendra Modi had addressed a meeting in Tirupati where he promised to implement the bifurcation promises and also do greater favour to the State. The Chief Minister now wants people to listen to that speech of Modi again. He would then counter Narendra Modi explaining what was promised and what was not delivered.

The Chief Minister is getting ready the video footage of Narendra Modi’s speech in Tirupati and a power point presentation to explain the injustice done to the State by Modi himself. Chandrababu Naidu is taking his Tirupati meet so prestigious that he wants to hit at the BJP and Narendra Modi for betraying him.

Chandrababu Naidu is also planning a massive meeting of the party workers and Dalits in Guntur on April 20. He plans to give a clear programme for the party ranks to counter the BJP and project BJP as betrayer.
