Naidu can’t disown attack on Amti Shah convoy

Telugu Desam Party supremo and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu cannot disown the stone pelting at Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amti Shah at Alipiri in Tirupati the other day. Though Naidu had condemned it and his party leaders justified it saying that the attack was the reflection of the sentiments of the people against the BJP, the entire issue must have happened with the full knowledge of Chandrababu Naidu.

It is a known fact that no TDP leader does anything in public without the knowledge of Chandrababu Naidu. The discipline in the TDP is such that no leader dares to take up any sort of agitation without taking prior permission from Chandrababu Naidu. Now this time holding agitation against Amit Shah by the Tirupati TDP leaders was not a spontaneous reaction as the TDP leaders across the State were prepared for that. The TDP leaders preparations were known to those who follow them in the social media. Interestingly, the BJP leaders too were prepared to counter it and it took 24 hours for the two parties to keep planning it.

The stone pelting at Amit Shah, who is under Z Plus security cover should not have happened if one goes by the way Chandrababu Naidu handles his rivals. The TDP chief ensures the arrest or house arrest of his rivals wherever he visited. He engages the entire police to arrest his rivals every time he visits some area in the State and the Communists are always victims of his visits in the State. The leader who gets his rivals arrested to prevent protests during his visits cannot remain indifferent to the protests held at Amit Shah’s visit to Tirupati.

Now that the Central government, particularly the Home Ministry had taken up the case, the State police have to justify its action of allowing the TDP leaders and activists to pelt stone at Amit Shah’s convoy.
