YSRCP chief Jagan’s padyatra completed 2,000 km today. With the praja sankalp yatra completing 2,000 km at Venkatramapuram near Eluru, YSRCP leaders made large scale arrangements to mark the occasion. They installed 40 feet pylon at venkatramapuram. Similarly, Jagan addressed a massive public meeting organized in Eluru.
YSRCP chief Jagan had launched the padyatra from Edupulapaya in Kadapa district on November 6 last year to know people’s problems. Since, every Friday he has to attend CBI court in disproportionate assets case, the padyatra is having a weekly break. It has been six months since Jagan launched his padyatra. He has so far covered Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur and Krishna district and today he entered West Godavari district.
Jagan had completed 1,000 km near Saidapuram in Nellore district. On this occasion, YSRCP leaders in a show of solidarity with Jagan conducted padyatras in all 175 constituencies in the state. On completion of 2,000 km, the party has planned innovative programme. YSRCP leaders will be conducting two day padyatra in every constituency. On 16th of this month, they will give memorandums to the district collectors about people’s problems. They will also organize public meetings at collectoerates to tell people about the injustice meted to Andhra Pradesh by the state and central governments.
With the completion of 2,000 km, Jagan’s padyatra has to cover only 1,000 km more. He will cover West Godavari, East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. This yatra is expected to continue for another four months. Jagan during his padyatra is trying to know people’s problems. He is giving assurances and moving ahead. YSRCP leaders hope that this padyatra will take him to victory in the coming elections.
