Based on the life of late legendary actress Savitri, the film ‘Mahanati’ is racing ahead with huge collection at the box-office. The film has already collected Rs.20 crore. It has also created a wave in overseas market, something which is not achieved even by big films. It crossed two million dollar mark to reach near 2.5 million dollar. In Nizam, this movie clocked Rs.7 crore in just 11 days.
On 11th day that is on second week-end, ‘Mahanati’ earned Rs.68 lakh, which shows how steady are its collections. One can see housefull boards on all cinema theatres screening this film. There are no chances of any brake to this movie till Ravi Teja’s ‘Nella Ticket’ is released next week.
‘Mahanati’ is continuing to set new records. In the latest development, the deal for the film’s satellite rights was closed. ‘Zee’ channel has bought these rights at mindboggling price. The channel secured satellite rights of ‘Mahanati’ for Rs.18 crore. Since the film’s expenses were recovered in the form of satellite rights, all theatrical collections have immensely benefited Vaijayanti Movies. Ashwini Dutt’s move to go for own release also proved a big plus point.
