Posani Krishna Murali meets Jagan, a good move

Writer and actor Posani Krishna Murali met YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy during the latter’s padayatra in Tuni Assembly constituency of West Godavari district on Saturday morning. Posani, who had joined the Praja Rajyam Party of Chiranjeevi and had contested the 2009 elections had been inactive in politics after he lost the elections. Since then, he was focusing more on films where he had proved himself as a good actor.

However, he had come to the limelight once again by taking the ruling Telugu Desam Party to target with the TDP MLC Y V B Rajendra Prasad blaming the film industry for not supporting Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in his fight against the BJP on special category status demand. He went aggressively against the TDP for changing stand on the special category status demand frequently and now shifting blame on the film industry. He also hit at the industry leaders like K Raghavendra Rao, Chalasani Aswini Dutt and others who declared the Telugu film industry’s support to TDP without consulting anyone.

These comments had brought him to the limelight recently and it was expected that he would join politics once again. That speculation is now over with Posani meeting Jaganmohan Reddy and extending his support to the YSR Congress leader.

Interestingly, Posani is not happy with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan too for the latter’s confusing politics. But now things are clear and he is to be the YSR Congress leader soon. Though he did not join the YSR Congress, it is for sure that the party would have a star campaigner in the next round of elections.

Jaganmohan Reddy had reportedly welcomed Posani and asked him to be the party spokespersons, particularly in the media talk shows as those shows have good rating. It is to be seen how Posani would give an edge to the YS R Congress by representing the party in the TV shows and build a positive image for the party during the election season.
