‘Officer’ a mix of action and emotion

‘Officer’ in the combination of Nagarjuna-Varma was released across the world today. This duo had once given a blockbuster like ‘Shiva’. With their joining hands again for ‘Officer’, it created lot of expectations. However, due Varma’s bad-temper the trade circles did not take much interest. While it is not known how badly Verma’s bad-temper will hit ‘Officer’, Nagarjuna’s craze somewhat saved the movie and it is doing good business. Nagarjuna has done the role of police officer in this movie while Myra Sareen has acted as his heroine. ‘Officer’ was released overseas on Thursday night, thus unveiling the story. Nagarjuna, who is father of a child, is seen as investigative officer trying to solve a case. Nag wages a large-scale war to catch a gang which kidnapped his child. In fact Nagarjuna loses his wife when villain gang makes a bid on his life during his SIT operation. Nag arrests villain Narayan. However, he had to be released from jail due to lack of witnesses and evidence. After his release from jail, Narayan kidnaps Nagarjuna’s daughter and uses her to play his tricks. Director Varma has given priority to action in ‘Officer’, which lacks comedy touch. The film throughout its length continues with seriousness. Varma has done a good job to elevate some scenes.
