Kanna takes TDP critics to Governor notice

BJP State chief Kanna Lakshminarayana tried to be different from the original BJP leaders. He took the TDP critics seriously and lodged a complaint with Governor E S L Narasimhan. He led a delegation of the party senior leaders to the Governor and lodged a complaint against the TDP leaders including Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for the abusive language that they have been using against the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah.

Ever since the TDP pulled out from the NDA, Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders have been attacking the BJP in the State. Kanna Lakshminarayana said that the criticism is accepted but in Andhra Pradesh the criticism had crossed the acceptable  limits as the TDP leaders were using unacceptable language. He raised objection to the TDP leaders reference to the Prime Minister’s family members, besides the use of abusive language.

For the TDP, who have been used to downplay the BJP in the State for all these years treating the party as non-existent, Kanna Lakshminarayana comes as strong opponent. Things are not so easy for the TDP to handle this new leader, who is more a Congress man and a hard core critic of the TDP.

The BJP chief wanted criminal action against Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya for her objectionable remarks against the BJP and Prime Minister. The Minister had earlier alleged that the BJP and the Prime Minister were training their party men to commit rapes across the country. The BJP leaders sought the intervention of the Governor to take action against the Minister and other leaders.

Kanna also complained against AP Planning Board vice-chairman who is hitting BJP MP G V L Narasimha Rao. The BJP leaders said that Planning Board vice-chairman is expected to be non-political but found Kutumba Rao more into political criticism.

It is now to be seen how the Governor would react to this complaint. The TDP had already branded this Governor as an agent of the BJP and Central government. It was only the otherday, the Governor had met the Prime Minister in Delhi and returned. Will the Governor act on the BJP complaint or just keep the complaint papers in the file and forget the issue is to be seen.
