Jagan moving cautiously even on small issue

YSRCP is afraid of wide coverage of any small mistake by its rival media. With elections nearing, it is taking all precautions to give no room for any rumours. In the past, YSRCP ignored small issues but this time it is focusing on them and has launched damage control exercise. The example is a small mistake that happened when Jagan entered East Godavari district and YSRCP chief became busy in sorting out the issue. There were media reports that Jagan’s failure to mention the name of former minister Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao led to his family distancing itself from his visit. These reports sent panic in YSRCP camp.

Former minister Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao’s family was not seen for two days during Jagan’s visit to East Godavari district and this was the talk of the town. After delay of two days, Jakkampudi stated that due to birthday of his daughter he could not accompany Jagan during his visit the next day. This triggered speculations that reports of gap between him and Jagan are true. Following these reports, Jakkampudi was seen with Jagan on his vehicle during the visit to Kuttapeta constituency and meetings at Ravulapalem and Gannavarm Razole.

At Razole meeting, Jakkampudi declared that till his last breath his family will remain with Jagan and asked people not to believe rival media that there is a gap between them. He recalled that late YSR continued his father in the cabinet despite his ill-health and gave lakhs of rupees to send him to America for treatment. He announced that he will remain with YSR’s family till his last breath. In the past, Jagan did not give importance to such issues but Jakkampudi’s case makes it clear that now he is treading cautiously in every issue.
