Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had blamed the ruling Telugu Desam Party on the steel plant proposal at Kadapa. He took a dig at the TDP for playing politics with the development of the State. Referring to the indefinite hunger strike by TDP MP C M Ramesh in Kadapa for the steel plant, he wanted to know why the TDP government had denied permission to the Jindal group for establishing steel plant in Kadapa. He alleged that the TDP leaders were allowing investments in the State only if they are paid their commissions.
Pawan Kalyan said several investors have approached him during his visit in UK in the past where they complained to be against the TDP government and its corruption. He said he had backed the TDP in the 2014 elections only expecting some development in the State. However, the TDP had failed to develop the State in the last four years forcing him to distance from the TDP.
The Jana Sena chief alleged that the TDP leaders were indulging in heavy corruption and the investors were running away from the State because of the corruption. The TDP leaders were not allowing any investor unless their demands are accepted. He blamed the TDP leaders for the present agitation in Kadapa in the name of steel plant and said that the TDP was creating drama in the name of steel plant. “If there is anyone to be blamed for the denial of steel plant in Kadapa, it is the TDP and not others. They think that people are not aware of these facts and are now playing political drama by taking up fast,” Pawan Kalyan said hitting hard at the TDP leaders.
The Jana Sena chief extended support to the Kadapa district bandh on June 29 and announced that he would team up with the Left parties in the State in fighting against the TDP’s misrule. He said he would evolve a joint action programme with the CPI and the CPM in the next three months and go to the people exposing the TDP and the Opposition YSR Congress.
