Bharatiya Janata Party AP unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana made yet another allegation against the ruling Telugu Desam Party and its government. He alleged that the TDP government was tapping his mobile phone to know about his movements. He said that the government was using the technology of on-air block to tap his mobile phone.
Kanna Lakshminarayana has been going hard against the TDP ever since the party broke alliance with the BJP. He had already toured several districts to gear up the rank and file to hit at the TDP’s campaign against the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He took the TDP’s physical attacks on him and the BJP leaders to the notice of the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh during his latest visit to the national capital.
Now, back in the State, the BJP chief is going tough against the TDP countering its criticism on the implementation of the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act. He said that Chandrababu Naidu had agreed for the special package and the State is implementing developmental works worth Rs 15,000 crore accordingly. The schemes like housing, cement roads in the villages, pension and insurance are part of the Central government programmes in the State, he said.
Branding Chandrababu Naidu as a known betrayer, the BJP chief said his party would expose the corruption of the State government. He alleged massive corruption in the name of Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Project which was completed at Rs 1600 crore against its original cost of Rs 350 crore. He said his party would expose Chandrababu Naidu’s corrupt and connivance politics ahead of the elections.
However, the TDP discounts his charges alleging that the BJP chief was trying to stop the developmental works in the State. Disowning the charge of phone tapping by the State government, the TDP leaders including Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad alleged the BJP leaders of disrupting the State with malicious campaign
