No Trust Vote: Naidu stands exposed

The entire 9.30 hour long discussion on the no confidence motion in the Lok Sabha had seen, as far as Andhra Pradesh issues are concerned, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party stripping Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu. The BJP spared some time to address the issues of Andhra Pradesh and have broken the TDP into pieces.

There was nothing new from TDP MP Jayadev Galla in his speech except his reference to his brother-in-law Mahesh Babu’s recent film. What all he said in his speech was almost known to every Telugu citizen as Chandrababu Naidu had been saying the same for the past three months. Jayadev’s speech was somewhat like the presentation of a CEO of a corporate company. However, the best weapon that the TDP used at the BJP was its Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, the young man from Uttarandhra, who minced no words both in Hindi and English to accuse the BJP of betraying the TDP and the people of Andhra Pradesh.

However, there was a similar reply from BJP’s Visakhapatnam MP Kambhampati Haribabu. He repeated what the BJP leaders from Andhra Pradesh have been saying for the past three months.

But, there was something new from the BJP top leadership. It was exposed when Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke. He said Chandrababu Naidu is a good friend of the TDP and would be a good friend in the future too. The statement of Rajnath Singh had given a chance for the TDP critics, particularly the YSR Congress, to nail the TDP claims.

YSR Congress MPs were out in no time to talk about the floor coordination between the TDP and Congress and outside coordination between the TDP and BJP.

It was finally the Prime Minister who left no words to hit at the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu. The Prime Minister said that the special package offered to AP in lieu of special category status was presented to Chandrababu Naidu and was announced only after his acceptance. He also recalled how Chandrababu Naidu had welcomed the package and felicitated Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Modi had also revealed that he had advised Chandrababu Naidu not to fall in the trap of the YSR Congress. “You will not win the fight against YSR Congress,” he said claiming that he had told the same to Chandrababu Naidu.

While stating that Chandrababu Naidu had taken U turn on the special package, the Prime Minister further revealed that the Chief Ministers of the two Telugu States had problems from the day one of the bifurcation. However, he said Telangana Chief Minister was wise enough to slowdown the differences.
