Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Shakti founder president Kethireddy Jagdishwar Reddy had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking CBI probe into drugs case which had rocked Telugu film industry. A division bench headed by Chief Justice Deepal Mishra on Monday took up hearing on this petition. Earlier, the court had directed the central government to implement the special guidelines framed in the past to curb the menace of drugs. On behalf of the government Additional Solicitor General Maninder Singh had sought some time. After the deadline was over, the issue again came up for hearing on Monday. On behalf of the petitioner, his lawyer Shrawan Kumar argued the case. On behalf of AIIMS director, advocate Dushyant Parishar presented his arguments. He sought some more time to prepare the guidelines. Agreeing to their request, the court adjourned the case to February 10.
