CM completes Polavaram project gallery walk

Giving an indication for early completion of Polavaram project Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched Polavaram project spill way gallery walk  The Chief Minister completed the one km long and 5 mts long gallery, the longest in the country in one hour. The Chief Minister took part in the gallery walk along with his family members including his grand-son Devansh.


Earlier the Chief Minister unveiled a pylon marking the inauguration of project spillway gallery. It may be noted that the diaphragm wall works completed in a record time two months ago.

AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Legislative Council chairman NMD Farooq, Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MLAs, MLC and other public representatives accompanied the Chief Minister during the gallery walk, majority of them along with family members.

The Chief Minister conducted virtual review meetings on Polavaram project for 77 times including 27 times personal visit to the dam site.

All the MLAs and other public representatives expressed happiness over progress of the project works, which is an 8 decades old dream of people of Andhra Pradesh. The MLAs pinned hope on completion of the project as per schedule and release of water through gravity from the project by 2019.

Officials said that the speedy completion of the project is sure to set number of world records
