The Zero budget natural farming practices introduced in Andhra Pradesh by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu won the acclaim of international forum and as per the invitation of United Nations Organisation the Chief Minister is going to deliver keynote address on financial support for natural farming-International challenges and opportunities at UNO on September 25. The Chief Minister’s delegation left for US to participate in World economic forum and Bloomberg global business forum on sustainable development- impact summit from Sept 23 to 27.
The Chief Minister will explain on the achievements of natural farming practices in Andhra Pradesh and invite the technical support from US. The Chief Minister aimed at extending the zero budget farming in AP to 2 cr acres by 2024 involving 60 lakh farmers to produce pesticide free and organic agricultural products. As part of it 2018 was declared as zero budget farming year. The Chief Minister is planning to encourage organic farming by improving cold storages and providing international market. He is likely to invite the agro experts of US to AP to study the natural farming practices.
The Chief Minister’s team left for US from Hyderabad on Sept 22 at 10 pm. On the first day the Chief Minister will meet Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin permanent representative of India to UNO. Later he will meet Intelligent Edge president Keerti Melkote, Imaginations technologies president Krishna Yarlagadda. He will attend New Jersey institute of technology student senate and interact with Non Resident Indian investors.
On the second day the CM team will interact with Doyer Marine experts to explore under water sea wealth. Later the CM will meet UNO executive director Phumzile Mlambo NGCUKA and retail banking organisation BNP Paribas chief executive officer Jean Laurent Bonnafe. He will discuss with World bank president Jim Young kim and Rockefeller foundation president Rajiv Shah and UN environment ED Erik Solheim. Later the CM will deliver key note address in UNO.
On the third day and fourth day the CM will participate in several bilateral discussions and meet experts of various fields.
