Nagarjuna-Nani movie ‘Devadas’ is hitting the screen on 27th of this month. Audiences have been eagerly waiting for this film. Trade circles are also taking keen interest in this movie. With Nani and Nagarjuna playing different roles, the film is doing excellent business.
The theatrical rights of this Nagarjuna-Nani film have been sold for an unprecedented Rs.37 crore. The rights in Nizam sold for Rs.12 crore and in Ceded it fetched Rs.5 crore. In all areas of Andhra the film rights were sold for Rs.14 crore. In Telugu states, the film has crossed Rs.30 crore business mark. Due to the craze for this movie, the overseas rights were sold for Rs.4.5 crore. It earned Rs.3 crore from remaining areas. ‘Devadas’ has done an overall business of Rs.37 crore.
Hindi dubbing, satellite and digital rights are yet to be sold. If the film gets positive feedback, these rights will also fetch huge money. If they put together are sold for Rs.13 crore, the film’s overall business is likely to cross Rs.50 crore. Trade circles say if the feedback is good, recovery will not be difficult.
