Revanth says KCR is Modi’s employee

As the election heat gets intensified in Telangana, the Congress leaders are going tough on Telangana Rastra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The other day, Congress working president A Revanth Reddy had branded Chandrasekhar Rao as an employee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that Chandrasekhar Rao had fallen on the feet of Modi before going for the early elections duly dissolving the Assembly.

Revanth Reddy had come up with a new slogan that “to defeat Modi at the Centre defeat KCR in the State.” This new slogan of the Congress in Telangana is going well with the people, particularly the anti-KCR forces in the campaign.

The Telangana Congress leaders are innovative or rather woke-up this time compared to the 2014 elections. The Congress party’s campaign is getting greater support this time and it is poised to cause greater damage to the winning chances of the TRS.

The Congress-TDP combine in the State is seen as a successful combination as far as hitting the TRS and its chief KCR. The combination of the Congress in itself with Uttamkumar Reddy, Aruna and Revanth Reddy is seen as a potential threat to KCR, KTR and Harish Rao. It is more than Harish Rao, the TRS is using KTR for the electioneering in the State, next only to KCR.

People have been listening to KCR and KTR for the past four years – the claims of development and building Golden Telangana (Bangaru Telangana). The decisions of the TRS to withdraw Dharna Chowk have seen greater resistance by the people with the human rights activists targeting the TRS and KCR.

The TRS which had promised better governance in the State so that there is no need for the people to protest at Dharna Chowk did not go well as there is one or the other problem for the people or the peoples’ organisations. The TRS’s idea of giving no scope for people to protest against its government is dictatorial and people have understood this. These issues have become critical for the TRS to face in its electioneering with the Congress going hard on them.
