Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that `we have to save our nation and democracy and that is our mission. He met AICC president Rahul Gandhi today and discussed with him. He said that in principle he agreed.
Referring to his meeting with Rahul Gandhi, he said some of you are having doubt about our past and it is a democratic compulsion. He said that we have joined together to save the country. As a leader of opposition Rahul and we are having responsibility and joining together. Not only two parties those who are opposing BJP we want to bring together and chalk-out a future plan of action. If we don’t protect democracy and institutions you are all watching what is happening in the country. I am in politics for 40 years and never witnessed this type of administration and demolishing of institutions like RBI, CBI, and Supreme Court. I discussed all the issues with Rahul and other parties and we have a meeting to chalk-out a programme.
After hour long discussion with Chandrababu Naidu, addressing media persons, Rahul Gandhi said that `We have to defend our democracy, institutions of our country and protect the interests of people. We are all coming together to defend India, institutions and democracy. Citing TDP, he said We have a past and both of us agreed not to get into past and we are going to talk about present and future because it is critical for our country and all opposition parties should come together and provide a vision to the country.
The Chief Minister said that the NDA government degraded the Governor system too. He said that he would meet the DMK leaders in Tamil Nadu soon.
Rahul Gandhi said that corruption took place in Rafale deal and the NDA government has been influencing the investigating agencies. He said that the BJP government should answer over the increasing corruption in the country. He said the central government should reveal the real culprits behind Rafale scam. He stressed the need for protecting the country from BJP.
