Telangana interim chief minister and Telangana Rastra Samithi chief Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to use helicopter for this December 7 election campaign. Having forced the elections much early to the original schedule, the TRS chief is planning to take the sky route to cover all the 119 Assembly constituencies. As he is the only star campaigner for the party facing the Mahakutami, Chandrasekhar Rao wants to save his time and spare it for all the constituencies.
In some constituencies, he is also planning to use his much-favoured bus to reach out to the voters. He is planning to address as many as 100 public meetings out of the 119 Assembly constituencies during his electioneering. The public meetings would be held mostly in the rural areas, while his bus yatra would cover in the urban segments.
The TRS election campaign, as of now, would take off after this Diwali and would go on till the campaign ends. The total electioneering for the TRS is completely depends on KCR who is the star campaigner for the party this time. While it was totally the “new state” concept that had helped him in the last election, it is just his own leadership which will play key role in winning the voters.
While the Mahakutami is likely to have a couple of star campaigners – Rahul Gandhi for the Congress and Chandrababu Naidu for the Telugu Desam Party – the TRS has no such stars on its list to meet this star campaign. Keeping this point in view, the TRS wants to use the helicopter for the campaign as the “Galimotor” would draw huge crowds and is attractive to the rural voters.
It is to be seen if this helicopter would bring victory for the car in the election or would just remain a special attraction to watch and not to vote.
