Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will resume his second phase of tour in East Godavari district today. After a small break, the Jana Sena chief will start his Praja Porata Yatra in the Godavari district, with senior leaders to join him.
This time, the party chief and the senior leaders would reach Tuni by Janma Bhoomi train from Vijayawada. During the journey, Pawan Kalyan would interact with the passengers in the train from Vijayawada to Tuni, his destination.
Besides the passengers on board, Pawan Kalyan would also interact with the people of different sections of the people. He would interact with the railway porters in Vijayawada, mango farmers at Nuzvid station and others all through. The exercise is an attempt to understand the problems of the people and frame his election manifesto.
Party senior leader and former Speaker of the undivided Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Nadendla Manohar, general secretary Thota Chandrasekhar and others would join Pawan Kalyan in the train journey.
Meanwhile, the Jana Sena is anticipating a massive exodus from both the Telugu Desam Party and the Congress in the State with the top leadership of the two parties forging alliance. There is open resentment among the leaders in both the parties about the alliance between the two parties and it is felt that these dissidents would join the Jana Sena in the days to come.
Senior Congress leader and former minister from West Godavari district, Vatti Vasantha Kumar, had already sent his resignation to the Congress primary membership. Though he had not made his mind clear on his future course of action, it is anticipated that several of the TDP and Congress leaders would quit their parties and join Jana Sena.
However, it is to be seen who will knock at the Jana Sena doors from both the TDP and the Congress, as the days roll out.
