Pawan asks Naidu to retire

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had asked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to retire from active politics. He made this statement during his tour in East Godavari district. He justified his statement on the ground that the Telugu Desam Party chief had already crossed the retirement age.

His contention was that Chandrababu Naidu was not able to control his Ministers and MLAs from corruption only because of his age. He sought to advice the 40 years experienced leader to bid adieu to politics at least now. The corruption, according to Pawan Kalyan, is increasing in the State, particularly from the ruling TDP leaders and Chandrababu Naidu was not able to stop it. He said that Naidu was not able to control his leaders from resorting to large scale corruption and exploitation of natural resources.

Pawan Kalyan also criticised Chandrababu Naidu in his twitter handle stating that the Chief Minister had been repeatedly telling lies to the people. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was spreading lies about his strategies every time he changed his stand on issues like special category status and alliance with the national parties.

He asserted that Chandrababu Naidu cannot mislead people with bunch of lies every time he changed his stand on the core issues. The statements made by Chandrababu Naidu on special category status as a closed chapter and his threats to the people that he would get them arrested if they raised the demand are still afresh in the minds of the people, he said. It is a fact that these statements are afresh in the minds of the people mostly because of the social media.

A year ago, Jaganmohan Reddy had made also a similar comment on Naidu’s aging issues. When the TDP chief called Jagan a child in politics, the YSR Congress chief called his rival an out-dated leader. Naidu and the TDP leaders were shocked at this comment and spent a couple of weeks countering this comment in the media. They tried to project Chandrababu Naidu as a man of new age technology and cannot be called out-dated.
