Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu once again converted the Titli relief distribution ceremony into a political event to hit at his rivals. Keeping the senior bureaucrats by his side, Chandrababu Naidu left no stone unturned to take on the rivals, the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre and the YSR Congress in the State. This time, for different reasons, Chandrababu Naidu was a bit soft towards the Jana Sena.
Chandrababu Naidu accused the BJP of playing politics in the State ignoring the Titli cyclone devastation. He said that the Central government had not sent even single rupee to help the cyclone victims. On the other hand, the Central government was sending teams to the State to raid the houses of politicians and industrialists to scare the investors coming to Andhra Pradesh.
He blamed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for not visiting the cyclone-hit areas of Srikakulam. Rajnath Singh had visited Guntur district when the cyclone had hit the Srikakulam and Viziangarm districts of the State besides devastating 8 districts in Odisha. The Union Home Minister did not offer to visit Srikakulam and had left from Guntur. Chandrababu Naidu took this to the task and alleged that the BJP leaders have no concern for the people even when they are in big trouble.
Upon the Opposition YSR Congress, the TDP supremo alleged that the party had hired anti-social elements to create trouble and law and order problem in the cyclone hit areas. “The YSR Congress had brought anti-social elements and hired goons from other States and tried to disturb the relief work. You people have driven them away from the villages and finally we could complete the relief work,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
The Chief Minister further alleged that the YSR Congress was trying to create law and order problem in the State and thus disturb the State government. He said he would face the problems created by the BJP on one side and YSR Congress on the other. However, he wanted the people to rally with him in his fight against these two parties.
So, will the people rally for Chandrababu Naidu, against the BJP and the YSR Congress?
