Naidu to write open letters to Central govt

Telugu Desam Party supremo and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu will soon write at least three letters to the Central government exposing its apathy and indifference towards the State. A decision was taken at the cabinet meeting held in Amaravati the other day, where the Minister after Minister accused the Central government for its non-supportive role to the State.

The cabinet meeting had decided to write three letters soon, which would also be released to the people. Of the three letters, two are dedicated to the injustice done to the State after bifurcation and the third one to expose the Central government’s apathy to help the victims of the Titli cyclone in Srikakulam.

The first two letters would be mostly targeted on Prime Minister Narendra Modi exposing the injustice done to the State by denying implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. The provisions of the Act and the issues like steel plant, railway zone, sea port and Central institutions, besides the funds for the backward districts.

The denial of special category status to the State would take the lions share in the two letters and it is said that Chandrababu Naidu would also give reasons for his exit from the NDA and fight against the Central government. Claiming to be the senior most politician of the country, Chandrababu Naidu is also believed to dedicate some space in his letters to explain the reasons for his joining hands with the Congress.

He is focusing more on the misuse and destruction of the institutions like CBI, RBI, Supreme Court, Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department to target the political rivals. He is upset with the IT officials conducting raids on politicians and contractors in Andhra Pradesh during the last three months. There are rumours that the IT officials would also knock at the doors of several ruling Telugu Desam Party leaders on cases related to corruption.

The TDP chief believes that his association with the Congress would help him challenge the IT raids in Andhra Pradesh and the letters he is drafting would aim at hitting Narendra Modi hard. It is to be seen how these letters would help the TDP boss to brighten his winning chances in the next elections as the alliance with the Congress is more aimed at retaining the power than fighting against Narendra Modi.
