“I am not scared of anyone, not even Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when it comes to the interests of the State,” clarified Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan during his tour in East Godavari district. He gave a strong reply to the critics, particularly Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Minister for IT, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Nara Lokesh, who calls Pawan the adopted son of Narendra Modi.
“I was told that Lokesh son calls Modi as grandfather. This tells us who is the adopted son. This adopted son had been with the BJP for the past four years. They were still with their adopted father though I left the BJP in 2017 on the special category status demand. Now, people can decide who is the adopted son,” Pawan Kalyan told the gathering during his public meetings.
Pawan Kalyan said that the State development was his priority and his politics have always been for the development. He recalled how he had backed the TDP along with the BJP during 2014 elections. “The State was bifurcated and it required an experienced leader like Chandrababu Naidu to start the government afresh. I have asked Chandrababu Naidu to keep corruption out of administration. He had promised the same. Corruption and crime were my major concerns which Chandrababu Naidu had promised. But, what is happening in the State for the past four years is everybody’s knowledge. There is rampant corruption involving the TDP leaders and Ministers. There are crimes committed by the TDP leaders,” Pawan Kalyan said justifying his differences with the TDP.
He also took objection to the TDP leaders finding fault with him and attributing his hidden relationship with the BJP. “I am not a person to do anything in the closed doors or behind the screen. It is the TDP which is known for doing all such things. Secret pacts, hidden agenda and private relationships are known to the TDP,” he said hitting hard at Lokesh
