This week Ravi Teja and Vijay Devarkonda with their movies came face to face at the box officer. First it was ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ featuring Ravi Teja which was released on Friday. The next day Vijay’s ‘Taxiwala’ was released. With no big expectations from both the movies, there was no debate on which film will emerge the winner.
‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ was described a disaster from the very first show. As a result the film’s opening day collections took a beating. With things becoming clear about this movie on the first day, all started focusing on ‘Taxiwala’. Released amid tough situation, the movie received positive feedback. In fact ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ was to release on October 5. Since Vijay’s ‘Nota’ was being released the same day, the makers changed the date to avoid any competition. However, the competition between the two became inevitable.
After a gap of few hours, Vijay released his ‘Taxiwala’ and became successful. However, there is nothing great about this film. It can be seen once. The booking was good due to Vijay’s craze. The openings were also good. The collections are likely to improve
