Is KCR really worried about TRS defeat?

KCR worried about defeat

Telangana chief minister Chandrasekhar Rao had said that he had nothing to lose if the Telangana Rastra Samithi is defeated in the December 7 elections. He said that he would sit in his farm house and enjoy the life. But it would be the people and the State who are set to lose more if TRS is defeated and the Congress-led alliance is voted to power.

Though his statement was nothing about his party’s defeat, it was aimed at alerting the voters against giving power to the Congress-led alliance where he finds Telugu Desam Party playing dominant role. He is targeting TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu more and is running sort of statements to attack the Andhra Pradesh chief minister. It was in such a situation that his statement on defeat and nothing to lose had come.

He is trying to caution the voters against Chandrababu Naidu’s influence in Telangana in the event of the TRS losing power. Though the Congress is a big brother in the alliance with the TDP reduced to 12 seats, KCR says that Chandrababu Naidu would dictate terms to the government in Telangana, which would obviously go against the interests of Telangana State and Telangana people. He tried to project Chandrababu Naidu as anti-Telangana to support his statement.

But, the words that he had used in this count sent wrong signals. That is the reason why the politicians should have to be very cautious while hitting at the rivals, particularly in choosing the words. Addressing series of election meetings, at least four a day, Chandrasekhar Rao is running out of words and he requires his back office to work more.

He is justified in highlighting the possible domination of Chandrababu Naidu over the Telangana government if the Congress is voted to power. His back office should have scripted this statement from creating fear of Chandrababu Naidu’s possible domination over Telangana rather than scripting it from KCR’s defeat angle.

The TRS chief smells the growing popularity for the Congress, particularly with the visit of Congress former chief Sonia Gandhi to the State. This is what made KCR to make such a statement. The script writers or the back office boys of the TRS and KCR should sit down and work creatively and cautiously to keep statements well-guarded and well received.
