With the present term is coming to an end and the big task of winning back is ahead, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is rolling out benefits to every community, to win their votes. He is now rolling out the benefits to the Kapus and Brahmins, significant sections in terms of votes.
The Kapus were promised BC status and it had never seen the light of the day. They are on a fighting mode with Chandrababu Naidu and he could not buy peace with them despite creating a finance corporation for them. He had provided education loans both in the country and abroad to the Kapu students hoping that it would benefit him.
Now, he had set his eyes on the Brahmin youth and had distributed 30 cars for them to operate them as taxis for their living. Though Naidu had created a finance corporation for the community and nominated former chief secretary I Y R Krishna Rao as its chairman. The honeymoon did not last long between Krishna Rao and Chandrababu Naidu. The former chief secretary was finally removed unceremoniously and a new man, Ananda Surya, was made its chairman.
In the last two years of the corporation, nothing much happened for the community. It was only the other day when he distributed the cars for the 30 Brahmin unemployed youth under the self-employment programme. The Chief Minister has short time on his hand to roll out the benefits to every section. Right now, he is planning to distribute android phones to the self-help group women, Anganwadi teachers, Village Revenue Assistants, besides others to keep them in good humour.
He has to do it by the end of first week of February, when the notification is issued for the MLC elections in the State. This notification would follow another notification for the general elections scheduled for April-May to have a new government before June 2.
He is already on the spree of laying foundation stones and inaugurating several schemes to have them all in his list of achievements. He plans to utilise the present round of Janma Bhoomi for the party’s promotion and intensify the fight against BJP and YSR Congress.
