There is no end to the problems for Ram Gopal Varma’s latest sensation ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’. Telugu Desam Party worker Devibabu Chaudhary has petitioned to the Election Commission to stop the release of this movie in Andhra Pradesh. He said his leader Chandrababu Naidu has been portrayed in a negative role in this film and this could impact the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. He sought ban on the film’s release till the elections. The petitioner also pointed out that the film’s producer belongs to YSRCP. Devibabu alleged that there are political motives behind the movie and hence he lodged a complaint with the Election Commission.
He said if the Election Commission fails to take action, he will approach the court. He said EC can stop the movie, which is scheduled to be released on March 22. On the other hand director Ram Gopal Varma said if the film is stopped he will fight it out. Varma said he did not show Chandrababu Naidu in negative role but only presented the facts. Let us see what decision the Election Commission takes.
