Scammers are finding new ways to cheat people by using latest technological advances like deepfakes. Videos of prominent figures like Virat Kohli, Mukesh Ambani, Neeraj Chopra, Sudha Murthy are being used to promote gaming apps, financial apps, etc. These videos are promising substantial financial rewards through minimal investments and luring the audience to invest in them. The videos often make it look like a news channel discussion involving any of the anchors.
One such video in circulation on Facebook, claiming that Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, and entrepreneur Nandan Nilekani are discussing an app they developed with eminent journalist Rajdeep Sardesai. The video has the India Today logo on the top right corner, and it shows eminent journalist Rajdeep Sardesai talking to 3 top industrialists – Narayana Murthy of infosys, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance industries, and Nandan Nilekani.
He asks Narayana Murthy about an app they are developing together which can generate passive income and everyone can earn a reliable income of Rs 2 million. Narayana Murthy says that Infosys and Reliance industries built an automated app together, it is live and available for just Rs 22,000.
It is connected with Indian stock exchange (ISE) and using Artificial intelligence automatically finds profitable financial trades. He also says that he personally used the app and checked. It will fetch 3 million rupees. Mukesh Ambani also seems to be saying that they recruited best engineers, and used best technology to build the best automated app, without any human involvement. It is available to common Indian citizens, business men and companies. He goes on to state that the project will run for 5 months with early users reaping the benefits.
Nandan Nilekani also says that there was never a better opportunity to boost economy. First 50,000 Indians will reap the benefits. Anyone can secure passive income of 1 million 800 thousand rupees. He asaks the users to register and wait for the call from executives.

Fact Check:
The claim is False. No such app has been developed by these billionaires, the video was generated using AI.
When we observed the video carefully, we found that there are certain lags in the audio and video. We can hear names misspelled by the anchor sometimes. We can see that there is no lip sync in the video.
When we performed reverse image search, we found that the clip of Narayana Murthy was taken from an interview published on YouTube channel named Andreas Van de Laar in May 2020. The dress of Mr Murthy and also background of this video match with the viral video.
When we extracted keyframes showing Mukesh Ambani and searched using Google reverse image search, we found a video posted in December 2020 on platform X contained the same visuals. The tweet was published by NDTV on X.
Telugupost team approached Deepfakes Analysis Unit of Misinformation Comabt Alliance to analyse whether the video is a deepfake. DAU confirmed that the video is an AI generated video.
Here is the analysis. When we used Hive Moderation AI tool, the first 30 seconds of the video was found to be "not-AI", but the rest was found to be manipulated with AI by the detector. For the visuals, the tool continuously detected manipulation in Nilenaki's visuals in the inset, even when the other speakers are visible in the frame. Also, there was no detection of A.I. in Nilekani's visuals when his frames are zoomed in towards the end. Please find the screenshot of the findings.
We also checked the audio using Hiya voice detection tool, which is part of Invid We verify tool. Using Hiya, we found the voice(s) are A.I.-generated. Please find the screenshot of the findings.
The audio and visual detectors of TrueMedia, another AI detection tool found convincing signs of manipulation by A.I. in this media. Please find the screenshot of the findings.
Hence, the video in circulation with the claim that the industrial giants have built an app together which can earn upto 3 million rupees passive income per month is a hoax. It is AI generated. The claim is False.
