The claim is Misleading. The flame towers in Baku are not illuminated in solidarity with Israel. The image is an old one from the year 2015.
When we searched using Google reverse image search, we found a post published in 2021 on vk.com.
When searched further, we found another tweet from June 2015, where the image was shared with the caption “Israeli Flag displayed on Flame Towers in #Baku honoring part. of Team Israel at @BakuGames2015 in #Azerbaijan
A Facebook page called Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles also shared the image in June 2015 with the caption “Israeli Flag displayed on Flame Towers in #Baku honoring participation of Team Israel at European Games in #Azerbaijan”
A YouTube video shared in June 2015, shows Flame Towers, Baku lit up with all the European flags. According to the description, the video was taken in June 2015, when first European games took place in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Therefore, the image showing Flame towers lit up with Israeli flag is not recent but an old image from the year 2015. The claim is Misleading.
