Fact Check: Images showing Donald Trump and sex scandal-accused Epstein are AI generated

Jeffrey Epstein was at the centre of one of the biggest sex scandals of the decade in the United States of America. His case came to limelight in 2005 with his arrest for allegedly paying a minor girl for sex. He was arrested and convicted as a sex offender. He died in jail, which was officially ruled as a suicide by the officials.
A legal document that was presented to the court had names of rich powerful people who were Epstein’s supposed clients. The document included names of Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, actors like Leonardo Dicaprio, Cameron Diaz, etc. With the release of these documents, the topic of Epstein’s case stirred social media again. Subsequently, several images of Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein are being circulated on the internet.
Among these images, two pictures showing former US President Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein are being shared. These images show Trump and Epstein sitting next to each other, while the first one shows them sitting in a plane, the second shows them sitting along with a bunch of women.

Fact Check:
The claim is False. These images are not real, they have been generated using AI technology.
When we searched for the images using reverse image search, we did not find any news reports sharing them. Later when we uploaded these images on AI image detection tools like Is It AI and Hive detector, we found that the images were most likely to be AI generated.
When observing the second image of former President Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein seated on a couch, we found several clues clarifying that the image is AI-generated. Epstein has no legs in this image, several hands appear to be curled around Epstein’s shoulder while they shouldn’t be. A flesh colour appears on his shirt and Trump appears to have six fingers on one hand.
Therefore, the viral images showing Trump and Epstein together are AI-generated, though there are several genuine images of them together, these two images are not authentic. The claim is False.
