After the speculations were widely shared and even went viral, the leader met the TRS party working president and IT Minister KT Rama Rao. He released a video refuting them. In his video, the leader states, "Due to fear of defeat in Munugode bypoll, the BJP has stooped to spreading fake news. There is no truth in the talk that I met Etela Rajender to join the BJP. Request everyone not to believe such news. TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy is going to win in Munugode."
