Amidst all this, news is circulating on social media that Konidela Nagababu is going to be the next chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, which is the abode of Lord Sri Venkateswara. Fact check:
The claim is False. We did not find any such news published by the local and national media. As the new government is yet to form in Andhra Pradesh, no appointments are really possible in the state.
For further confirmation, when we searched for the tweets by Nagababu for any announcements of appointment, we found a tweet by him stating ‘Do not to believe any fake news. Trust only information from official party handles or verified social media accounts. Please do not trust or spread fake news.’
We also found TV9 video report, in which when a reporter asked about the news of the appointment of the TTD chairman, he replied that it was fake.
Eenadu also published an article stating that Nagababu refuted the news. The article also states that he requested everyone not to believe in fake news which is in circulation on the social media. Only trust the official handles.
Hence, the news in circulation that Nagababu, brother of Pawan Kalyan, has been appointed as chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is False. The claim is False.
