Fact Check: Nadda’s clip comparing the BJP government to rapists is doctored by Congress leaders

Congress leader Lalan Kumar tweeted the clip with the caption, “Today @JPNadda admitted the truth after all. Those holding drones and binoculars in particular should hear that a “BJP government means rape”. Other organisations including East UP Congress Sevadal and UP Congress Sevadal too shared the clip.
FACT CHECK:
The fact check team found the viral video to be fake.
A reverse image search led to the original video on YouTube posted by the official account of BJP. The viral clip was extracted from Nadda’s speech at a public rally in poll-bound Tripura's Agartala on January 12.
He said that a CPI (M) [Communist Party of India (Marxist)] government would bring in issues like strikes, donations, and rape, whereas the BJP would bring in development and progress.
"A CPI (M) government means rape, it means strikes, it means sloganeering, it means taking levies from employees, a CPI (M) government means gathering donations from people, it means entering houses and silencing dissidents. That is what a CPI (M) government means."
He then said, “A BJP government means highways, it means internet, it means railways and a BJP government means airways, it means hospitals, it means a corruption-free and pro-development government."
Clearly, the Congress leaders have shared a doctored video of Nadda claiming that he compared the BJP government to rapists. Thus, the claim is false.
