A video showing a group of children reciting Arabic verses is viral with the claim that they are reciting the Quran at the inaugural ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The video shows kids running into the stadium and reciting the verses.

Fact check:
The claim is MISLEADING. The video does not show visuals from FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony in Qatar. It is an old video shot in 2021.
When we searched the key frames from the video using Google reverse image search, we found the video published by Doha News in December 2021. It shows the inauguration of Al Thumama stadium.
The caption of the video states "This is how Qatar incorporated its Islamic Culture at the inauguration of the World Cup Al Thumama stadium. Children were seen reciting verses on 'mercy' from the Quran."
The same video was shared by Doha News on its Facebook page too.
According to reports, 8 stadiums will be hosting the FIFA World Cup matches in Qatar. The opening ceremony was hosted at Al Bayt stadium and the final match will be hosted in Lusail stadium.
Al Thumama stadium seen in the viral video is also hosting a few matches including one of the quarter-finals to be played on December 10, 2022.
