A notice is in circulation on social media claiming that the Ministry of Railways has issued recruitment notification for RPF Sub Inspector and Constable in 2024. According to the notice “Applications are invited for a total of 4,660 RPF Sub inspector and constable positions. The notice specifically states that these vacancies include 452 numbers of vacancies for SIs and 4208 vacancies of constable positions.
Fact Check: After careful observation of the post on different media, we found the claim is False.
The viral notice was actually a fabricated one.
RPF India has issued a clarification on February 27, 2024 regarding the viral notice. In the clarification, the RPF India mentioned “Stay on track towards your dreams by avoiding scams. Rely solely on official sources for trustworthy information on railway job opportunities”.

While doing Google reverse image search, we found this notice was shared by PIB Fact check on February 26, 2024, with a caption “A #Fake notice issued in name of Railway Ministry regarding recruitment of sub inspector & constable in Railway Protection force is circulating on social media.”

According to Hindustan Times “RRB RPF recruitment notice for SI, Constable vacancies is fake, PIB Fact Check confirms”
India TV News also reported that “RPF Sub Inspector, Constable Recruitment 2024 fake notification viralling on social media, confirms PIB”.
Based on the above evidence and different media reports, it is clear that this notice is not issued by the Ministry of Railways. It is being wrongly attributed to the Indian Railway Recruitment.
