Fact Check: TGPSC did not postpone Group II, Group III exams; the note in circulation is fake

According to the original notice, the TGPSC Group II services exam will take place on August 7 and 8, 2024. TGPSC Group I services main exam is scheduled to commence on October 21, 2024 onwards, whereas the Group III services exam will take place on November 17 and 18, 2024.
Meanwhile, a note claiming that TSPSC is postponing the Group II and Group III exams is going viral on social media, especially on WhatsApp. The note claims that the Group II exam has been rescheduled to November 2024. The note in circulation on WhatsApp can be seen here. An X user shared the note circulating on WhatsApp on X asking to verify the information.
Fact check:
The claim that the Group II and Group III exams conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission are postponed is False. TSPSC did not make such an announcement.
When we searched with proper keywords, we found a post on X stating that the news in circulation is fake. The caption in Telugu goes as “ఫేక్ న్యూస్ అలెర్ట్ TGPSC గ్రూప్ 2 & గ్రూప్ 3 పరీక్షలను వాయిదా వేస్తున్నట్లు సోషల్ మీడియాలో ప్రచారం అవుతున్న నకిలీ వెబ్ నోట్ను అభ్యర్థులు నమ్మవద్దు. TGPSC పరీక్షల వాయిదాపై ఇప్పటి వరకు ఎలాంటి నిర్ణయం తీసుకోలేదు.”
When translated, it states: “Fake News alert. Candidates, please do not believe the fake web note circulating on the social media that TGPSC Group II and Group III exams are postponed. Till now, no decision has been taken on the postponement of TGPSC exams.”
According to the article published on V6telugu.com, TGPSC has announced that the propaganda on postponement of Group II and Group III exams is Fake news. No such press note has been released by the commission.
According to Telangana Today, ‘Fake news is being circulated in some WhatsApp groups. The Commission has not issued any success press note,” the TGPSC said in a message to mediapersons. As per the schedule announced by the Commission, the Group II recruitment exam is on August 7 and 8 and the Group III services exam is on November 17 and 18.
Hence, the claim that the Group II and Group III exams being conducted by TGPSC are being postponed is False. The commission has made no such statement. The exams are scheduled on August 7 and 8, 2024 for Group II and November 17 and 18 for Group III by TGSPC and the examinations are going to be conducted as per schedule.
